I have been left with Oracle 7.3 running on Windows NT 3.51, and no
database administrator.


I wish to run a scheduled backup, of the entire 3.51 server using Arcserve.
How can I best take the database offline in order to perform the backup ,
and then bring it back up afterwards?


How can the SIDs of instances that are running?
