I'm having a similar problem. On Solaris, tnslsnr (v. 2.3.2.1.0) aborts when it hits an invited_nodes list with aliases in it. I have it up now with a list of numeric addresses.

The error messages are cryptic. lsnrctl start gives some sort of seek error, and stop doesn't seem to work either until the aliases are removed. The trace file shows it dying when reading the invited_nodes list. Received on Thu Oct 31 1996 - 00:00:00 CST
