Job Title: Java Designer
Location: Lansing, MI
Duration: 10 Months
Job Description:
The Designer will be required to participate and perform the duties of
a scribe during Join Application Design (JAD) sessions with the MI
SACWIS users. Designer must be capable of analyzing and evaluating
major system project requirements of considerable complexity.
Applicant must perform reviews of user requirements and provides
direction in the identification of potential resolutions. The designer
will be required to provide analytical support in the conceptual
model, design development and implementation of complex, inter-linked
systems. The Designer 2 applicant will create models that support the
defined system objectives and prepare system design specifications to
meet user requirements and satisfy interface problems. This applicant
will formulate logical statements of user requirements and develop
models and documentation through application of systems engineering
methods and techniques. The Designer 2 applicant will be responsible
for the development of alternate approaches and presenting options to
the team. They may perform system modeling, simulation and analysis.
They will apply technical expertise and knowledge from other related
disciplines. The designer develops technical solutions to complex
problems requiring the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
Applicant must be a self starter with strong communication skills.
Work is performed without appreciable direction. This position
requires 5 years of working as a JAVA developer and 3 year design
experience. Responsibilities: Technical • Participates and scribes
during client workshops • Conducts design steps including requirements
analysis and detailed design of the system. • Develop program
specifications and detail design documents. • Experience performing
complex systems design, development and implementations • Experience
with UML modeling and use case specifications • Knowledge of SACWIS
systems is desirable. • Web and Java development experience • Oracle
experience
