Stanford Engineering is now offering free “Introduction to Databases” online course available to everyone worldwide from October 10 to December 12, 2011. This free course provided enrolled student with lecture videos, material in PDF and PPT format, assignments and exams, receive regular feedback on progress and participate in discussion forum.

The curriculum draws from Stanford’s popular Introduction to Databases course and assumes no prior knowledge in SQL or database structures but fair amount of computer aptitude is recommended. You won’t be getting any Stanford or college credit but if you will get ‘statement of accomplishment’ from Stanford instructor if you completed the class.
