Old bug.
My dbora init.d(4) script invokes dbstart like this: su - $ORA_OWNER -c "ksh $ORA_HOME/bin/dbstart"
You can do similar in smf(5) machinery.

Removing a Printer Destination
The -x dest option removes the destination dest (a printer
or a class), from the LP print service. If dest is a printer
and is the only member of a class, then the class is
deleted, too. If dest is all, all printers and classes are
removed. If there are no remaining local printers and the
scheduler is still running, the scheduler is shut down.

I only have access to one Redhat Enterprise Linux installation and
up2date is bound to an annual support subscription.
Are RHEL security fixes available without a subscription or does
one need to run Fedora?

You had to periodically run pca with --update=check as Sun would break the "wget" interfaces.

Martin Paul's Patch Check Advanced (PCA) will show you if your system has all recommended and security Solaris patches applied. <URL:http://www.par.univie.ac.at/solaris/pca/>

pca will work against sneakernet outputs of uname(1), pkginfo(1) and
showrev(1M). See the -f option.
You can sneakernet the patches and patchdiag.xref back to your host and use pca to apply them from your own patch repo.
