Linked table Doesn't show data

I'm working in a database Oracle 10.2.0.4.0 where there is created a link to a second database Oracle 8.1.6.0.0.

There is a synonym created referencing a table in the second database. The link is OK but when i query the table it doesn't retrieve any data.

How could it be solved??
