'The' standard used to have several levels of compliance. Oracle SQL has never supported the boolean datatype, which the OP could easily have verified from the SQL reference manual. As the OP for years prefers bothering newsgroups with redundant questions instead of reading the manual or even verifying the manual my comment is QUITE justified.
