Ronnie,

I talked to Oracle about this. The 64 bit Oracle ODBC driver is available for Solaris, but not Linux. They stated that it should be released in 11g Release 2. I am waiting too, but I actually switched to OCI and installed an OCI wrapper called OCILIB to get around the complexities of OCI procedures. Seems to work really good.
