Jim Melton has been editor of the international SQL standard since the 1980s. In recent years he's written articles and spoken at conferences about the future direction of SQL (such as when SQL:2003 integrated SQL/XML functions). Jim will be speaking at the LinkedData Planet conference in June about the next big thing involving SQL databases and the Web.

Sir Tim Berners-Lee is keynoting the LinkedData Planet conference, an event about moving from a web of linked documents to a web of linked data.

Jim Melton and Dr. Ashok Malhotra (standards architect at Oracle) will be discussing integrating data from SQL databases as linked data for the web.

When: June 18 (10:00 - 10:50 am)

LinkedData Planet runs June 17-18, 2008 at the Roosevelt Hotel, 45th and Madison Avenue, New York City

Besides that presentation, Oracle VP Robert Shimp will participate in the power panel and Oracle's Dr. Melliyal Annamalai will participate in the Linked Data Workshop. Received on Sun Apr 06 2008 - 15:10:25 CDT
