Quick google gives
2005 http://www.winsupersite.com/showcase/winfs_preview.asp it's supposed to be used to give different views of the file system objects, increase ease of desktop search. 2006 http://searchwincomputing.techtarget.com/originalContent/0,289142,sid68_gci1195914,00.html cancelled.
