Worked Advanced Replication on 8i, and Streams on 9i; Streams supposedly is the successor of AR; I ditched it in 9.2.0.4 on HP-UX as unreliable, and equally difficult to recover from synchronization issues.

Mind you - that is *equally difficult*.

All in all I found AR to be a better product for the problem at hand in 8i, a version that does not know Streams (M-S two-way replication with horizontal and vertical partitioning)

I doubt if Streams can do what I designed and built.

Still is operational, afaik.

Tested Streams op 9.2.0.4 64bit HP/UX 11.23; found it unstable and very hard to maintain, discarded it as replacement for MV's.
Due to the nature of the employer, updates, and upgrades are a very time consuming process. Streams had known issues, resolved in 9.2.0.6.
