Check note 362956.1 on MetaLink if you have access to it. To sum up: no changes are necessary for mixed IPv4/IPv6 environments provided the OS supports such configuration. No currently available Oracle Database release supports IPv6 natively; 9i and 10g can't run in IPv6-only environment. This includes client libraries. Native IPv6 support is planned for the next major release (11g), but not guaranteed to be implemented in this release.
