Hi all,
I've taken the examples in this Streams primer: http://www.oracle-base.com/articles/9i/Streams9i.php
and applied them to my own 9iR2 app, where I need to propagate changes in c.50 of the c.500 tables to another installation of the same app in another database. It seems to be working fine except for several tables that have function-based indexes and therefore can't be propagate by Streams.
It's just about possible that I could live without the function-based indexes, which would allow me to continue using Streams. If it turns out that I can't drop them, what can I use instead of Streams? It's a relatively simple one-way replication, and Ideally I'd like to have the flexibility to have replication running all the time or - say - once a week at an appointed time.
TIA
Tarby
