Dear Oracle community,

At the office we have to create a fail-over cluster for an Oracle 9i databases, but if possible without the use of RAC.

The systems are IBM System X machines running Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS 4 update 4.

Has anyone ever build such an environment (maybe on different hardware)? We like to hear some suggestions.

Kind regards,
