Under SQL Developer, when I open an sql file and select run script, it shows the script output to be "package xyz compiled, package body compiled " and shows no error at all even when I type in some garbage stuff inside the package.

Then when I go to the package folder on the left pane, then it shows the errors there.

I think "Run Script" should show me the error immediately, right ?
