SAP Solution Architect

GENERAL PURPOSE
This position is for a senior SAP "technical" consultant to work in a presales capacity to support Centium's SAP solution-selling efforts. This position requires the highest professionalism, communication and strong skills in the SAP ERP landscape.

This role requires at least 5-7 years of information technology experience with solution-selling experience and strong SAP technical expertise. This role is for a technical SAP individual with SAP BASIS hands-on prior experience and real-world experience with mission-critical SAP R/3 and Netweaver environments. Solution Architects at Centium work directly with clients to uncover business or technical needs in existing (or new) SAP deployments that can fulfilled through Centium's consulting offerings. Candidates must be willing to travel as this role will be a sales-support role visiting client and partners across Centium's regions.

The role will be focused on selling SAP-based consulting solutions that support Centium's core systems integration and resale efforts. As an SAP Solution Architect, onsite presentations and scoping of consulting engagements are a large part of the role's requirements. Project oversight, in a billable capacity, will be required to ensure project delivery success.

DUTIES
· Accompany Centium sales reps and partners to sales calls onsite and
remotely to uncover consulting and/or product resale opportunities.
· Define and scope consulting opportunities for Centium's SAP and
database consulting offerings.
· Perform presentations of Centium's SAP capabilities to clients
and internally to help train sales staff on our solutions.
· Perform hands-on software installation and configuration of core
SAP technologies (SAP database and application server) as needed as part of a project deliverys.
· Participate in hetergenous and homogenous platform or site
migration efforts.
· Participate in the sizing and architecture design activities for
new mySAP infrastructures.
· Translate new SAP product offerings into consulting opportunities
based on Centium's consulting capabilities.
· Work with Practice Director(s) to sculpt existing SAP offerings and
develop new solutions to be brought to market.
· Create Scopes of Work and participate in Project Planning efforts
for pre and post sales support to Centium clients and sales staff.

TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, AND EDUCATION
· SAP Certification strongly preferred, but not required. BASIS
certification or speciality certification.
· Strong understanding of the SAP BASIS R/3 environment, hotpack
application and "best-practices" for the SAP technical landscape.
· Strong technical expertise in UX or Linux operating systems and
SAP's interaction and compatibility across platforms.
· Strong problem mediation skills and prior experience working with
SAP Support
· Strong technical computing architecture experience - servers,
network and storage.
· Strong "best-practice" knowledge for SAP environments as it
relates to installation & configuration, deployment and high-availability configurations.
· Strong backup knowledge with SAP BR tools for backup & recovery and
best-practice methodologies.
· Knowledge of newer Netweaver platform products such as XI, Portals
and Solution Manager.

SUPERVISION
· Reports internally to the Practice Director for SAP consulting work
and works with Project Manager(s) to ensure project milestones and target dates are met.
· Reports externally to the client project manager.
· Documents all client work for internal use and client knowledge
transfer.
· General setting of goals and objectives without direct day-to-day
supervision.
