AFAIK its always been the case - at least from the time the core multipliers were put in place. Note that different CPU cores have different multipliers - Intel is 0.5, Niagara is 0.25, the IBM cores are 0.75 Received on Sun Jul 30 2006 - 11:42:19 CDT
