It looks like the licensing of multi-core chips changed December 19, 2005. The licensing documentation that I received near the end of May 2006 indicated that for Intel and AMD multi-core chips, the licensing fees would be at 0.50 per CPU core. Other CPU families have different licensing cost multiplier per core.
