My objective is to restore a known Oracle server configuration and conduct regression testing from that point on. Restoring a ghost image works 80% of the time. The image is restored onto the windows 2000 server HP Proliant that it was taken from. Occasionally after an hour or two it becomes apparent that the Oracle installation is corrupt.
The agent is intermittent; The Enterprise Manager Configuration corrupts its password.
Can anyone suggest a link to where successful ghosting of oracle is discussed in more detail?
Can any one shed some ideas on how I can detect problems quickly? Are there any tools to validate Oracle database instances and the agent configurations? Received on Thu Jul 06 2006 - 04:39:11 CDT
