I've given it some more thought. The reverse index is a new idea to me, and it does look very interesting. I'm not 100% sure it will be useful for my particular case, but I am going to try it. Thanks very much for this insight.

As to rebuilding indexes -- I guess you're saying there's no need? Can you point me to one of the discussions you mentioned on this subject?
