I could not determine what kind of data the OP had as I have absolutely no idea what kind of data is stored in the hboksaldo column. If that column contains only non-negative numbers, then the SUM will be positive. Either the column names are cryptic or shorthand in another language. I know that 'saldo' in Spanish is 'balance', it depending on the app, it is possible to have a negative balance. But then I'm only guessing! :)
