More Detailed Information - Someone Please Help

I have been able to track my problem down to an error message but I am still confused since a similar screen worked and now this one just won't.

Here are the steps and results:

1. Enter player name in non-database field block PLAYER
2. Cursor positioned in BATTING block
3. Tab into PITCHING block and enter one year of pitching information leaving the BATTING block empty.
4. Save the entered data
5. Cursor positioned in BATTING block with team field having a value when it was blank and receiving error message "FRM-40202: field must be entered"

I am baffled since if I enter information in the BATTING block but leave the PITCHING block completely empty it will successfully save. I have checked my block properties and they are both defined the same way with the exception of the table they are based on and the WHERE clause for the block.
