Thanks Rauf your answer is very valuable to me. One more question
regarding ORACLE_SID. I added registry key ORACLE_SIE under
HKLM\Software\Oracle and set its value to my instance's sid. But still
I'm not able to connect using sqlplus - so what is the purpose of this
registry key ?. I thought that main purpose of registry settings is to
replace environment variables - but it seems I was wrong (I'm able to
connect to database when I set environment variable and that's great)
