That's the way it was setup back in 8.1.6 ... long before my time with this company. Each customer has a total of 3 tables...so it's not that bad to manage. And since data access is based on how / when the customer feels like accessing it..there is no access patterns to logically separate the data.. of course partitioning a large table could be an option.. but that's a whole other topic.
