David, if you do not have the Oracle client CD then go to www.oracle.com or to http://technet.oracle.com and download the Oracle client onto a PC. Double click it to get it to install.

If you have the client CD just put it in the CD-Rom drive on the PC you want to install on and it should automatically start the GUI installer program. You should be able to accept the default locations. Chose client install. If the installer does not start double click the autorrun file. Note that the GUI is java and takes a minute or two to startup.
