NLS_SORT donīt work?

Hello,
sorry for bad english.

Iīam not a proffessional. Have two Oracle App Server with the same component and EAR-File. they are connected with one Oracle DB with 2 Instances on it.

The db properties are the same. Also the NLS_SORT. But if i make a select (the same one) on both instances in application, i get different sort.

One seems ok 'binary'. The other one seems 'binary ci' The small letters are on the end. In my application is NO ALTER SESSION statement.

Can it be? Have anyone a idea where the application getīs the wrong result and how can it be?
