Pentium IV on board?
If so, copy CD image, and rename some java dll (exact name will be googable, symjit.dll or similar).

And why do people insist on having the latest OS with all "new! Improved Receipt, Better Taste Than Ever, Get A Free Wuppy" stuff, and still run last century applications?!?

Get 9i Release 2, or better, or downgrade to NT/Win2K.
