Did you go to asktom?

I did a search and found a script (which I have used in the past and got it to work very simply on a version 9 db).

As for supressing trailing spaces - why are they there? Do you not use VARCHAR? If not (it might not be your db design flaw), isn't there something called RTRIM()?

JFGI and do a wee bit of the work yourself.

some clues, like operating system, version of db being used and DDL.
The exact text and/or number of error messages is useful (!= "it didn't work!").
