I was originally thinking of that solution, but you missed the
requirement he states above - extra Ends need to be discarded, but the
extra Ends are not determined by what's leftover once you traverse the
entire list, but any Ends you encounter along the way that exceed the
number of Begins you've seen so far - for example, the case where End
#7 is discarded, but End #10 is not in his original post. In your
example, End #7 would be paired up against Begin #8, and End #9 would
be paired against End #10, which isn't allowed.
