I've been told that 8.1.7.4 was tried, but it killed everything and they had to go back.

With your assessment of the Explain Plan, I wonder if there are some resource problems with the system here. I'll have to dig deeper into my Harrison book and see what I can determine.

For the time being, I've separated the above statement into two statements linked by the cust code and the prem code. (This is in Reports) I've gotten some very good results already doing that.
