Yes I was considering exactly that, but won't this result in updates to records where the values are NOT changed? What I mean is, if a field value is (for example) 'ABCDEF', and you update it to the same value, won't that still be an update that gets processed by Oracle?

What I'm really looking for is how to vary the WHERE clause for each field I need to update. Received on Wed Sep 14 2005 - 12:06:50 CDT
