Could you please elaborate more on this ? Do you know some cons for combination "MONITORING + GATHER STALE" ? Some , i am aware of ( dop 32767 for calculation of index stats, histograms calculations with nls_territory not 'AMERICA' resulting in ORA-00600) can be easily worked around...
I'd like to know, whether there are arguments to not implement this method of statistics gathering.
