It is called tracing and diagnosing what is going on. How to do that has already been explained to you by Daniel Morgan. How you enable sqlnet tracing has been posted here (amongst others by myself) numerous times, and it is also fully documented. Why don't you follow up Daniel's and my advice? Why do you insist on keeping your 'applications' alive with sellotape. One day you will regret you did that, the day you are fired!

As far as 'caught in the dark', it appears you are already caught in the dark: you really do not have a clue about Oracle, and you refuse to follow up all sensible advice provided here because a) you don't understand it
b) you seem to know better
