I have applied for a position at the local school district (U-46). It is for an Oracle/Peoplesoft DBA. Since Oracle recently purchased Peoplesoft, I am hoping to learn enough, that if I am interviewed, I can speak with some authority regarding Peoplesoft and Oracle. I am not very good at "B-Sing".

Small world...As far as Elgin is concerned, I am a native myself, having been born and raised on a dairy farm at Randall and Big Timber Roads.

Elgin now has a poplulation of over 100,000. We have a riverboat casino (never thought that would happen). Randall Road, once a country road used for drag racing (and dating :-)) now has been developed big time. Thousands of cars use it daily. Sherman Hospital will be building on 150 acres on the same land my dad farmed...too bad he never owned it. Land is probably worth well over 100,000 an acre.

My apologies to anyone for being a bit off topic, but I couldn't help myself.

Ted W.
Elgin, Illinois
