OK, so we have now determined you are trying to get your Blackberry to talk to the Oracle Application Server, not the Oracle database. And you are comparing the operation of the Oracle App Server to the operation of ASP and ColdFusion middleware.

Now, PLEASE tell us what version of the Oracle Application Server is being run.

Also, do you have authority to change things or are you a user trying to figure out how to get the Blackberry side working?
