Sad. I thought the database query rewrite capability in 10g might help (see DBMS_ADVANCED_REWRITE in Morgan's Library at http://www.psoug.org)

What other inconsequential info might you have for the rest of the group? Stuff like, are you using CBO? Can you use hints, or is that excluded as well?
