I'm sorry, this was my first post.
It's Oracle version 8i, 8.1.7 for Windows on Windows NT 2000.

I would often get

ORA-03113 end of file on communication channel

during the create database step in installation, followed by "TNS-listener packet writer error". Received on Tue Nov 30 2004 - 16:41:33 CST
