Everyone else has told you that you gambled and lost.

But I am wondering why you refer to yourself as a DBA when you clearly acknowledge that (1) you do not have even the minimal skill set required to be a DBA; and (2) why if you are responsible for the database you did absolutely nothing required of a reasonably responsible person in that position.

You have failed at your task and should resign in shame.
