You're mixing up versions here. glibc and gcc are very different things. The latest glibc is 2.3.3. As far as gcc versions go, gcc 2.3.2 was released back in the early 90s - Redhat 8.0 does not come with this version and (hopefully) you'd have a hard time finding anyone still using it.
