Interesting that a search on Oracle's web site and in Oracle's documentation, THE TERM PRE-IMAGE OCCURS ZERO TIMES.

Even more interesting is that an internet search results in the term preimage and pre-image, in association with Oracle, shows up less than 2000 pages (as compared to the traditional 2 billion), and is most frequently in context of cryptograpghy and hashing, and occasionally in the same context as Oracle's term 'before image'.

Can you come to any conclusion based on this?
