I love it when those barely out of diapers worry about their age. ;-)

Get a copy of Tom Kyte's book "Expert one-on-one Oracle". Pay special attention to the first three chapters.

Download Oracle from http://otn.oracle.com (free) or purchase the CD set from http://store.oracle.com (very inexpensive even for an individual).

Run the many tutorials available at otn.oracle.com, read the content at asktom.oracle.com and run the tutorials and demos at http://www.psoug.org (Morgan's Library). I am sure their are good courses in the U.K. Hopefully someone will be able to point you to one.
