Hi NG,

I have to find out the differences about a Directoy System and a Database for a login method. Sure, behind a DS there is already a Database but for me it is more important what's happened at a CONNECT to a Oracle database?
I heard about that a Connect creates a fork, exec and a 5MB subprocess. So what's up with these processes? And when will be killed the subprocess, after the granted access? Which protocol is used for the Oracle database connection?

Thanks a lot for your response.
