Hi

This is due to a bug in Oracle Universal Installer 8i Java Machine and Pentium IV processors

Do the following

1/ Copy your OracleCD on your computer local hard drive
2/ Search for all occurence of the file called "SYMCJIT.DLL"
3/ Delete the files or rename them
4/ Go to the subdir install\win32 and run SETUP.EXE  to install from that

location

And this will work
