  1. Change to Oracle9i. 8i is virtually obsolete and 9i is available at the same price.
  2. XP Home or XP Pro? XP Home is not certified and is hit-or-miss. Find the version that says 'XP' on it.
  3. Feel free to go to http://groups.google.com and look at the archives. This has been discussed several times.
