SQL*Plus - Hide "Connected" response to Connect

When spooling the output of a SQL*Plus SELECT statement, if I connect to a
different schema, the "Connected" response goes into the spool file.  I've
tried setting everything OFF that I can find but can't get rid of it.  Can
anyone help?
