Never mind. I saw the "on commit preserve rows" option to the create temporary table statement.

thanks again. I feel comfortable with them now :-)

Tell me this though, if a "system" is going to have a lot of different temporary tables (say maybe 10 or 20), is it best practice to perhaps create a seperate schema for these temp tables and use synonyms to access them in the regular
