Thanks a lot for this hint. I did not know that RAC now is included with Standard Edition of 10g. I've an older document from Oracle which compares the different editions and there RAC was not bundled with Standard Edition. Actually i'm checking out, if the features bundled with the Standard Edition fulfill the systems requirements.

That's exactly what i wanted to hear: Your individual opinion. In addition, your opinion reflects my own experience with the Oracle RDBMS in my former projects. Thanks again, Hans.
