If you are running in ARCHIVELOG mode, you can take online backups. How does this work however, if for example, you place a particular tablespace into backup mode, then a user writes to a table in the tablespace, then the actual physical datafile is copied (backed up). How is it indicated not to record the write that occurred after the tablespace's being placed into backup mode but before the file was copied?
