Silent deinstall

I am unable to uninstall Oracle8i client silently from W2k systems. I specified in the response file:
DEINSTALL_LIST={"oracle.client","8.1.7.0.0"}, and on the command line:
setup.exe -responseFile <responsefilename> -silent -deinstall Also, according to documentation, command: "setup.exe -deinstall" is suppose to bring the Inventory dialog box and this does not work either.
