Do you have the TCP stack installed? The :7778 sort-of implies a TCP or UDP port, doesn't it?

You don't mention the operating system - Windows-based, do you get a response from 'dos command' ipconfig (or winipcfg), *nix-based, do you get a response from ifconfig?
